Hundreds of students, faculty and staff got their first peek into the newly constructed Residential Suites Phase II on May 26.
During a ribbon cutting ceremony, the campus community celebrated the conclusion of the two-year, $76 million construction project, which adds 622 beds in popular suite layouts. Visitors toured the suites, rooms and study/meeting areas.
The housing complex, which will open to students in the fall, includes three buildings — Vista de las Estrellas, Vista de las Montanas and Vista de la Luna. The project also adds multipurpose rooms, a recreational area, an amphitheater-style stage, courtyard and a new Vista Cafe and convenience store.
The campus also unveiled the Bronco Statue, located between Building 54 and the Kellogg Gym.
Each the newly constructed suites includes a living room, kitchenette area, bedrooms, full-size bathrooms, storage space, private patios/balconies. Every room is equipped with high-speed Internet and satellite television.
