Cal Poly Pomona’s men’s basketball team will face Dixie State College (Utah) in the opening round of the NCAA Division II Tournament. The teams will play Friday, March 12 at 5:30 p.m. in Bellingham, Wash.

The winner of that match-up will play Western Washington or Central Washington on Saturday, March 13 at 7 p.m. Video streaming, live stats and post-game results will be available at www.wwuvikings.com.

The Broncos, seeded No. 4 in the West Region, will be joined in Bellingham with CSU San Bernardino, Seattle Pacific, BYU Hawaii, Humboldt State and Western Washington, the host school.

The Broncos are 22-6 and will make their second trip to Bellingham in as many years. The Broncos won both of their games in the 2009 West Sub-Regional at WWU before going on to win the regional at BYU Hawaii.

The NCAA website provides interactive and PDF brackets of the men’s tournament.

Coach Scott Davis’ women’s team will play the University of Alaska Anchorage on Friday, March 12 at 5:30 p.m. in Seattle in the West Regional, hosted by Seattle Pacific University. The fifth-seeded Broncos (22-6 overall) will face the Seawolves, who finished third in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference.

A webcast of the game and live stats will be available
