Connector Roads Reopen; Landslide Repairs Complete

A landslide at the northeast corner of the 10 and 57 freeways was reported at 8:38 a.m., Feb. 18. Ph

After a month of repairs, the freeway transition roads damaged by the landslide in San Dimas reopened early Thursday morning. The connectors to the northbound 57 Freeway from the westbound 10 and northbound 71 were closed Feb. 18 when a hill gave away.

Caltrans crews cleared away more than 100,000 cubic yards of dirt and debris. To stabilize the hillside, the slopes were graded along the connector roads to create three terraces and new drainage ditches were built.
