Theatre Depicts Literary Classic 'Grapes of Wrath'

Job Barnett and Daniel Davidson portray Tom Joad and Jim Casy in the theatre department's production of "The Grapes of Wrath."The theatre department will present John Steinbeck’s classic “The Grapes of Wrath” on Nov. 13, 14, 19, 20, 21 and 22.

The Nov. 13-21 showings will start at 8 p.m. and the Nov. 22
performance will begin at 2 p.m. Also, a special group matinee will be
presented on Nov. 18 at 10 a.m. Reservations for the group matinee are
required.

“The Grapes of Wrath” is about a family’s pursuit of a better life
during the Depression. The Joads leave the Oklahoma dust bowl for
California’s bounty but instead discover inequality, violence and
hardship.


Tickets cost $15 for general admission and $10 for students, seniors and Cal Poly Pomona employees. They can be purchased at www.class.cpp.edu/th/shows/ or at the theatre box office.

Andzej Malins as Pa and Daniella Tarankon as Ma in the theatre department's "The Grapes of Wrath."All performances will be at the University Theatre, which is in Building 25. Parking permits are $5 and are available at the visitor’s information booth on Kellogg Drive. Campus map link visit www.cpp.edu/maps/.
