New Face for PolyCentric

PolyCentric Redesign Team

Welcome to the newly redesigned PolyCentric, Cal Poly Pomona’s communications hub. The website features significant improvements that will benefit readers.

Some of the changes are:

  • A wider layout that takes advantage of larger screen sizes
  • Photos that can be enlarged with a click of a mouse
  • An easy-to-use search engine to find past articles and announcements
  • New sections that encourage a sense of community

PolyCentric was last redesigned in 2002, and much has changed since. Over the years, readers have asked for larger photos, a wider layout to fill their monitors, and more news and content. Social media has become an essential component to websites. A survey conducted in fall 2008 revealed what readers liked and didn’t like, and the new design reflects their opinions.

The most popular sections — News, Announcements and Picture of the Day — have been enhanced to feature more content through an improved design. The new sections – Events, Campus Topics and Achievements – keep readers in the know about campus happenings and celebrate the accomplishments of faculty, staff and students.

As the Internet continues to grow and change, PolyCentric will also continue develop and improve. The PolyCentric staff welcomes your feedback about the site. To send ideas, suggestions, comments or bugs, email polycentric@cpp.edu.
