Fifty Cal Poly Pomona students recently received a special opportunity to learn about wine from three of the top wine specialists in the world. Master Sommeliers Fred Dame, Tim Gaiser and Sally Mohr conducted a rigorous two-day seminar, which included lectures about wine from around the world, 20-plus blind tasting evaluations and a 45-minute written exam.
Sharon Reiter has been named Associate Vice President of Human Resources. She takes the helm of the Human Resources department with 25 years of management experience, 18 of which have been with Cal Poly Pomona. For the past year, she has been administrator-in-charge for Human Resources.
After a comprehensive national search, Vice President for Student Affairs Doug Freer has announced that Deborah Brandon accepted the position of executive director of Admissions & Outreach. As executive director, Brandon will provide leadership, strategic direction and management to the Office of Admissions and the Office of Student Outreach & Visitor Services.
