Sixty years of tradition and a year of hard work boded well for the Cal Poly Universities' Rose Float. The fanciful creation "Guardians of Harmony," won the Fantasy Trophy in the Tournament of Roses. The award marked the 46th occasion the universities have earned a top honor in the esteemed New Year's Day parade.
The Cal Poly Pomona community will celebrate diversity at the Unity Luncheon, "Banding Together for Purpose and Progress," on Tuesday, Jan. 15, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Bronco Student Center's Ursa Major Suite. Now in its 17th year, the Unity Luncheon is an opportunity for the university to celebrate diversity and develop relationships while raising funds for scholarships.
Promising science students with financial need will receive much-needed help through a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant of $584,197 to Cal Poly Pomona. The grant will fund a program to provide 127 scholarships over five years.
