Stan Abraham, professor of strategy and entrepreneurship in the Management & Human Resources Department, was chosen as the first recipient of the Association for Strategic Planning?s 2007 Distinguished Service Award on Feb. 27, at the sixth annual ASP conference titled Strategy in Action?Lessons from Practice. Abraham, who is a founder of the association, organized its first annual conference in 2001; served as president in 2003-04; and was a member of the board from its inception in 1999 until last year. Abraham also presented a paper, ?Recipe for Successful Strategic Performance,? at the conference.
