President Ortiz Featured on Cover of Hispanic Magazine
President Ortiz has been featured on cover of “The Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education.”

University President Michael Ortiz has been featured on the Aug. 28 cover of “The Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education.”

The magazine article highlights Ortiz' accomplishments and discusses how he supports the success of Hispanic students and faculty.

Cal Poly Pomona is an official Hispanic-Serving Institution, with at least 25

percent Hispanic undergraduate student enrollment. In Fall 2005, the

university's total enrollment of 19,885 was comprised of about 27 percent Hispanic students, according to the Office of Institutional Research, Assessment & Planning.

In May, “The Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education” listed Cal Poly Pomona 25th in the Top 100 Colleges Awarding Bachelor's Degrees to Hispanics.
