UNIVERSITY UPDATE: A Message from President Michael Ortiz

UNIVERSITY UPDATE: A Message from President Michael Ortiz
University President Michael Ortiz.

Colleagues,

2005-06 is coming to end. This weekend, over 3,000 students will culminate their academic careers with their bachelor's or master's degrees. For me, it is the highlight of the year.

Before many of you leave campus for the summer, I want to introduce a new way to communicate university news and information. This week, I recorded a video message that addresses our campus prioritization/recovery process and provides an update on construction projects, our budget and some new administrative appointments. The video link is:

We also have a written transcript of the message at: http://www.cpp.edu/~president/pdf/transcript.pdf

Thank you for your continued service to the students of Cal Poly Pomona. I hope that each of you enjoys a wonderful summer.

Mike Ortiz
