Athletics to Host 27th Annual Bronco Golf Classic Fundraiser
The 27th annual Bronco Golf Classic is a fundraiser to support Cal Poly Pomona?s student-athletes.

The 27th annual Bronco Golf Classic, which supports Cal Poly Pomona's student-athletes, will be held on Monday, June 26, at the South Hills Country Club in West Covina.

An early-bird discount is being offered to golfers who sign up prior to May 31. The player fee prior to May 31 is $200, while the fee for a single player after May 31 will be $225. The price will include entry into a four-person scramble format, greens fees and cart, a hospitality gift, lunch and dinner and a student-athlete host for each foursome.

The tournament is a key component of Cal Poly Pomona's efforts to promote the growth and development of Bronco Athletics. It is a main fundraiser for scholarships for the university's student-athletes.

The day will begin with check-in and a putting contest at 8:30 a.m. A continental breakfast will also be available. The tourney is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. with a shotgun start. A tee-off prize winner will also be announced. Lunch is served on the course.

Following the round of golf, an auction, awards and dinner will begin at approximately 4 p.m. Silent and live auctions will also be held with unique and valuable prizes and awards will also be given. Auction items already confirmed include a vacation on the Island of Kauai, being on the field at Angel Stadium for batting practice, golf course foursomes and packages and a 2006 set of NFC-AFC Pro Bowl footballs autographed by every team member. More items are expected to be added.
