No Injuries After Storms Knock Tree onto Children?s Center
A large tree crashed into the Children's Center due to storms on Jan. 2.

Storms caused a large tree to topple onto the Childrens Center on Jan. 2. The vacant building sustained significant damage and has been closed. It is unclear when it will reopen. No one was injured from this incident.

Cal Poly Pomona Police officers discovered the fallen tree on Jan. 2 at approximately 11:30 a.m. The tree was estimated to be 65-feet tall and about 100 years old.

Facilities Management employees worked with an outside lawn company to clean up the debris. The extent of the damage is not yet known.
