Broncos Hope to Pack the Stands for Soccer Season Finales

The men's and women's soccer teams are hoping to “Pack the Stands” for their 2005 season finales on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at Kellogg Field.

The Broncos will face California Collegiate Athletic Association rival Cal State Bakersfield in a soccer doubleheader beginning at 4:30 p.m. with the men's game followed by the women's game at 7 p.m.

Free hot dogs will be available to the first 250 fans who attend, and there will be giveaways of Cal Poly Pomona merchandise and candy during both matches.

Both teams will be honoring seniors who are finishing their Bronco careers before games begin. Seniors from the men's team who will be honored for their contributions to the program include goalie Tim Sisk, defender Brandon Moses and forward Andrew Pierce, and from the women's team goalkeeper Vanessa Richardson, forward Erica Rodriguez and midfielders Chelsea Hipley, Jamie Black, Mary Real and Jamie Venegas.
