President Michael Ortiz and Staff Council have selected 12 winners for the annual Management and Staff Emeritus Awards. The campus community is invited to attend a ceremony to honor the award winners on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2-4 p.m. in the Bronco Student Center, Ursa Major C. Established in 1981, this honor is awarded to retiring staff employees who have worked on campus for at least 10 years (retiring between July 1, 2004 and June 30, 2005) and have demonstrated outstanding job performance, support of university programs and involvement in campus activities. As award winners, emeriti are granted certain privileges such as free parking, use of the University Library, free admission to campus events (i.e., athletic, music and theatre events, the Arabian Horse Show), use of campus recreational, dining services and social facilities (including gym, swimming pool and Bronco Student Center), access to the Cal Poly Pomona e-mail account and discount coupons. |
