Hip Hop Dance Class

Learn to shake it not break it! Join Fernando Estrada, former member of the professional hip hop dance troupe Culture Shock and coordinator of the university's Pride Center, as he teaches steps to burn up the dance floor. An enrollment donation of $8 will provide a one-session dance workshop on Dec. 1, 6:15-7:45 p.m., in the Kellogg Gymnasium focusing on video and street hip hop. CSU LEADER – CSU Engages Community, Industry Groups; Board to Hear Student Fee, EAP Reports

CSU leaders met in Oakland on Nov. 1 with more than 100 African-American leaders representing business, religious, political, education, and community organizations to encourage efforts to increase the number of African-American students who are eligible for college. In other news, during its Nov. 8-9 meeting, the CSU's Board of Trustees will hear an annual report on campus student fees.

Bronco Fitness Center Bench Press Competition

Faculty, staff and students are invited to show off their strength at a free bench press competition on Nov. 10, noon to 6 p.m., at the Bronco Fitness Center. Weigh-ins will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Competitions include: pound for pound ? overall champion; women's competition; master's competition men/ women's divisions; and weight division competition. Spots Available for Women's Basketball Trip to Arizona

Cal Poly Pomona?s women?s basketball program, the most successful program in the NCAA Division II, has an exciting weekend planned for early November. The Broncos still have space available on their chartered bus to the University of Arizona for an exhibition game on Sunday, Nov. 6. The charter bus will leave campus on Saturday, Nov. 5, at 11:30 a.m. Each person will be charged $50 for round-trip transportation.

International Center Hosts Second Annual International Research Forum and Festival

The International Center will host the second annual International Research Forum and Festival, "Collaborative Teaching and Learning: Creating a Global Perspective," on Tuesday, Nov. 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the Bronco Student Center. The free event will combine a scholarly research forum with a campus-wide international student festival to raise awareness of interculturalism and international programs. This years' event will be held in conjunction with International Education Week, Nov. 14-18.
