Center for Community Service-Learning to Host Summer Course Development Workshop
The Center for Community Service-Learning offers a two-day workshop assisting faculty in integrating and enhancing service-learning into their course curriculum.

The Center for Community Service-Learning will offer a two-day workshop on July 27 and 28 assisting faculty in integrating and enhancing service-learning into their course curriculum. This interactive workshop is designed to introduce key opportunities and challenges in service-learning curriculum development and implementation.

Attendees will leave the workshop with a syllabus, assignments and action plan for their upcoming service-learning course. They will also receive one-on-one assistance from experienced service-learning faculty and Center for Community Service-Learning staff. In addition, the workshop will feature an opportunity to meet with the leaders of local organizations and foster new community partnerships.

Workshop topics will include creating and sustaining collaborative community partnerships, constructing an effective course syllabus and connecting your service-learning experience to scholarship.  

The workshop is free to all participants, and meals are included.  Each participant will receive a service-learning textbook and a packet of valuable resources. Applications will be accepted through Friday, July 8, and are available at academic.cpp.edu/ccsl/events/faculty.htm.
