CSU LEADER –
CSU, UAW Sign First Contract

Officials from the United Auto Workers and the California State University held a contract signing ceremony Aug. 1 at the CSU Chancellor's Office in Long Beach. The contract, which was negotiated in May and subsequently ratified by members of UAW Local 4123 and the CSU Board of Trustees, marks the first-ever collective bargaining agreement for 6,000 teaching associates, graduate assistants and instructional student assistants at the CSU.

E-mail Servers Upgrading to Exchange 2003

The campus? central e-mail servers are being upgraded to Exchange 2003 during August. Users will see a better Web e-mail client, improved synchronization between online and offline files and added capability to synchronize with Personal Digital Assistants. Sports Nutrition Research Study

A graduate student in the Kinesiology department is looking for physically active females between the ages of 20-30 for a sports nutrition research study. Danielle Duran and Alesha Solis, both sophomore Animal Science majors, drive tractors through Ag Valley at Cal Poly Pomona. It was the first time driving a tractor for both students.
