Debra Brum, associate provost for undergraduate studies, has been chosen to serve as interim vice president for Instructional & Information Technology until a national search for the permanent position is complete. Her appointment will begin on March 21.

The position was vacated when Michael Berman accepted the position of senior vice president and chief technology officer at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. His final day at the university will be March 18.

“A computer scientist, Dr. Brum's knowledge of issues relating to academic technology, significant experience with the PeopleSoft project, and skills as an educator and administrator make her an ideal choice,” says President Michael Ortiz.

The associate provost's responsibilities will be restructured internally during this time.
