Associated Students Inc. graphic designers were honored with marketing and promotion awards at the Association of College Unions International (ACUI) Region 15 conference in November.

“Steal This Idea,” the ACUI Region 15 Marketing and Promotion Contest, seeks out the best marketing, design and promotional ideas from college student unions and student activities departments. The ASI Graphic Art Studio took seven awards in the categories of logo design, T-shirt design, one-color poster design, and two-color poster designs. Other entry categories included four-color poster design, promotional campaigns, open entrees, four-color brochure design, 8+ panel brochure design, and Webpage/digital media design.

The following is a list of ASI's awards:

• Logo Design — First place for Exchange Lounge, student designers Suling Pong and Leny Evangelista
• Logo Design — Third place for Nite Owl, student designer Kris Wattanaporn
• T-Shirt Design — Second Place for Go Broncos, former student designer Ryan Gotanda
• T-Shirt Design — Third place for Games Room Etc., former student designer Andrea Tinchinda
• One-Color Poster Design — First place for Urban Art Show Poster, student designer Leny Evangelista
• One-Color Poster Design — Second place for 8-Ball Tournament Poster, former student designer Ryan Gotanda.
• Two-Color Poster Design — First place for More Than Words Poster, student designer Kris Wattanaporn and former student designer Joyce Pan 

ASI hosted this year's ACUI Region 15 conference, Adding-On to the House, Nov. 4-6, at the Bronco Student Center and DoubleTree Hotel in Ontario. The three-day annual conference brought together nearly 40 member colleges and universities from California, Hawaii, Nevada, Guam and Australia to facilitate community-building and information exchange.
