During my remarks at Fall Conference, I spoke about our challenges relating to technology and the need to address them with campus wide participation. The first step was to initiate the IT Governance Committee, made up of an executive committee and four subcommittees working on Administrative Computing, Standards and Support, Teaching, Learning and Technology and Web Guidance.
Keeping the university well informed on the progress of IT Governance is a challenge but remains a high priority. I am writing to announce that a new Web site has been developed to provide the campus community with the most current information. Please visit the site at www.cpp.edu/~itgovernance. In addition, PolyCentric will provide frequent updates.
This is an exceptionally important initiative for Cal Poly Pomona, one that will have an impact on current and future generations of students. I encourage everyone to keep informed of the activities and actions of the IT Governance Committee.
