Darwin Labordo, associate vice president for Finance & Administration, has been chosen to serve as interim associate vice president for Facilities Planning & Management (FP&M). His appointment began Nov. 2.
“Darwin's proven leadership in his role as the AVP for Finance & Administrative Services has been greatly valued by Administrative Affairs and others throughout campus,” says Patricia Farris, vice president for Administrative Affairs. “I am extremely grateful to Darwin for accepting this important additional assignment while a search for a permanent associate vice president for FP&M is conducted.”
Facilities Planning and Management serves as the lead organization for planning, developing and maintaining the campus's natural and built environments in support of the university's mission. The department seeks to preserve and enhance Cal Poly Pomona's history, aesthetics, physical assets and natural ecosystems through coordinated location, design and construction of buildings, roads, infrastructure, landscaping and other physical improvements.
