25th Annual Bronco Golf Classic to Raise Scholarship Funds
Former Cal Poly Pomona head football coach and NFL quarterback Roman Gabriel will attend the 25th annual Bronco Golf Classic on June 14 at the Via Verde Country Club in San Dimas.

The Athletic department will host its 25th annual Bronco Golf Classic on Monday, June 14, at the Via Verde Country Club in San Dimas, and the campus community is invited to attend. To mark the silver anniversary, former Cal Poly Pomona head football coach and NFL quarterback Roman Gabriel will participate in the festivities.

Gabriel founded the first golf classic fund-raiser in 1980 at the Via Verde Country Club, and the now legendary golf scramble has raised more than $600,000 for student-athlete scholarships.

Tee-off will take place at 10 a.m.

Registration is normally $200 per person, but an early bird price of $175 is available to those who register before May 14. The price includes green fees, cart rental, a hospitality gift, a student-athlete host, lunch and dinner. Corporate sponsorships are also available. A silent auction will be held in conjunction with dinner in the clubhouse. All proceeds from this event will go toward the student-athlete scholarship fund.

Prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third place teams as well as to golfers with the longest drive and closest to the pin.
