The Poly Post won 16 awards from the 54th California Intercollegiate Press Association (CIPA) Awards Competition of 2003. The annual competition is open to all news media from four-year universities in California. This year?s participants included CSU, UC and private universities. The entries were judged on a variety of “best” categories in newspaper magazine, broadcast and photography. “The staff worked really hard this year and these awards are a good validation of their efforts,” says Sean Scully, adviser of The Poly Post. “A lot of the really strong awards were general staff awards and that speaks really well of the entire newspaper team.” The following is a list of Cal Poly Pomona?s awards:
