Ruby Batson, administrative assistant in Parking & Transportation Services, died on Monday, June 30. She was a resident of Azusa.
?Ruby was a central part of the Parking family and her loss to us has been a staggering blow. Her genuine love and concern for people were her defining characteristics and a clear indication of her close walk with Jesus,? says Charles Holt, director of Parking & Transportation Services. ?Ruby's strong faith was an integral part of every thing she did and it is the knowledge that she is in the Father's arms today that gives me the strength to get through this time of mourning. Ruby, you've run the race, finished the course and can now enjoy the victory.?
A memorial service for Batson is scheduled for Tuesday, July 8, at 11 a.m., at New Generation Community Church, 550 S. Hollenbeck Ave. in Covina. A viewing will be held on Monday, July 7, at 5 p.m., at Rose Hills Memorial Park, 3888 Workman Mill Road, Whittier.
