Baritone Eli Villanueva leads children in singing during a free concert for Pomona elementary school students by members of the Los Angeles Opera at the First Baptist Church in Pomona. The event was sponsored by Cal Poly Pomona, the Cultural Alliance for Pomona and the Pomona Unified School District.

Chief Economist Jack Kyser to Provide Outlook at Real Estate Luncheon

Jack Kyser, senior vice president and chief economist of the Los Angeles Economic Development Corp. (LAEDC), will be the featured speaker at the Real Estate Research Council of Southern California (RERC) quarterly luncheon meeting. Kyser will discuss the "Economic and Real Estate Outlook for Southern California" on Wednesday, June 4, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. in the Kellogg West Conference Center.

20th Annual Celebration of Excellence in Academics and Athletics

The Athletics department will holds its 20th annual celebration of Excellence in Academics and Athletics on Thursday, June 5, at 5:30 p.m. on the Kellogg Gym patio. The department will honor its student-athletes during an old-fashioned country barbeque. Fun and games begin at 4 p.m., and the barbeque and awards ceremony begin at 5:30 p.m. Country-western attire is encouraged. A special presentation in honor of President Bob Suzuki and wife, Agnes, begins at 6:30 p.m. RSVP by calling (909) 869-4631.
