Nearly 100 visitors got into the spirit of the season and stopped by Kellogg House Pomona?s annual Holiday Open House for some yuletide cheer on Dec. 12, 16 and 17. Visitors enjoyed festive holiday decorations, including candles, poinsettias and a brightly lit Christmas tree, while sipping hot apple cider and munching on pound cake.
The restored mansion is a serene Mediterranean hybrid built by cereal magnate and university benefactor W.K. Kellogg in 1925. Myron Hunt, whose other projects included the Pasadena Rose Bowl and the Huntington Library, was commissioned to design the 1920s style house.
